HANSAINVEST LUX S.A., in its capacity as the Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) and management company of the IIV Solar Electrification Debt ELTIF, has received approval to launch the new open-ended European Long Term Investment Fund (ELTIF). Invest in Visions GmbH initiated the fund and acts as the fund’s portfolio manager. IIV Solar Electrification Debt ELTIF aims to promote
sustainable energy supply in Sub-Saharan Africa through targeted investments.

AIQUNITED advised Invest in Visions GmbH successfully on the structuring and launch of this ELTIF. Following approval by the CSSF, IIV Solar Electrification Debt ELTIF was registered in the public central register of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), which contains key information on all ELTIFs.^[1] The fund is structured in accordance with Article 9 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and aims to promote sustainable investments with a clear environmental focus.

The investment focus aims to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns through long- term investments in line with the ELTIF Regulation while contributing to the green transformation of energy supply in Sub-Saharan Africa. The fund provides targeted, purpose-bound loans to qualified portfolio companies in accordance with the ELTIF Regulation, thereby facilitating the financing of technologies such as solar PV
systems, mini-grids, and solar-powered devices with storage solutions, which are deployed in commercial enterprises and private households alike. This approach contributes to combating climate change and fosters economic development, while having potentially further positive social impacts.
IIV Solar Electrification Debt ELTIF is aimed at institutional and private investors. The fund’s term is set at ninety-nine years.
